The last couple of days I really slipped up with my eating and gained some weight. This is really just due to stress, boredom and lack of motivation…so I made this little post to inspire myself and remind myself why I want to be healthy.
Like most girls, my daughter hears, “That’s a pretty dress, did you pick it yourself?” or “What lovely hair you have,” or “You have the most amazing eyelashes,” or “I like the bows on your shoes,” or “You are so cute” almost every time somebody engages in conversation with her.
If family, friends, shop assistants, complete strangers, and even Santa only remark on how girls look, rather than what they think and do, how can we expect girls to believe that they have anything more to offer the world than their beauty?
It may seem like I’m a sarcastic asshole 24/7, but I’m actually only a sarcastic asshole 18/7 because at night I actually have feelings.
I literally do not care about your gender, sexuality or skin colour.
I literally only care about whether you’re a nice fucking human being or not.
The thing about western relationships and gender stereotypes seems to revolve around the idea that men put up with love to get sex, and women put up with sex to get love.
And if they don’t, they’re wussies and sluts.
No wonder we’re so fucked up.
